Compliance Operations Coordinator - Cross-Border Payments
Location: Remote - Based in EST timezone
Compensation: $50K - $80K
We are building a platform that enables cross-border transactions that are drastically faster, cheaper, and simpler, moving toward a world of frictionless global commerce. We are seeking a Compliance Operations Coordinator to join us on the front lines, taking ownership of the day-to-day execution of critical bank and client compliance requests. This role is about responsiveness, precision, and extreme accountability in a high-growth, globally distributed environment.
You will serve as the essential link between our clients and banking partners, ensuring every compliance requirement is handled quickly and flawlessly to maintain trust and operational integrity. You will manage the compliance workflow end-to-end, acting with urgency to support global business scale.
What you'll be doing:
- Own the Details: Manage the intake, processing, and submission of compliance requests to our banking partners with speed and accuracy.
- Act with Urgency: Ensure client documents are collected, verified, and delivered to banks as soon as possible—no dropped balls, no delays.
- Be the Connector: Liaise directly with clients to gather information, provide clear updates, and ensure they feel supported throughout the compliance process.
- Provide Feedback: Work closely with leadership to flag risks, close gaps, and continuously contribute to process design and improvement.
- Stay Organized: Maintain accurate, audit-ready records, track deadlines, and create/maintain performance dashboards (Jira or similar tools).
Requirements
- Proven Operator: 2–4 years of experience in compliance, operations, or client-facing roles within fintech, payments, or financial services.
- Mindset: Extreme ownership mindset (finds solutions, not excuses) and accountability-driven—you take pride in closing loops fast.
- Client-Focused: Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with clients while meeting their needs quickly and professionally.
- Detail-Obsessed: You sweat the details and ensure nothing slips through the cracks.
- Reporting Skills: Ability to clearly articulate process improvements and performance metrics to internal and external stakeholders.
- Availability: Must have the availability to work and attend meetings during Eastern Time zone (North America) business hours.
- Team Player: Thrives in a fast-moving, globally distributed environment.
