Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – All For American
Location: Remote with travel expected to Austin, TX
Compensation: Competitive salary + performance-based incentives
Reporting to: Board of Directors working closely with the President
Background
All For American is a story-driven e-commerce platform dedicated to selling American-made, quality goods. Our animating vision is to drive commerce and capital into small, local businesses, and to build civic trust and the manufacturing industry in the process.
Where we’ve been:
This Palm-incubated company has:
- Built an e-commerce storefront on a scalable Shopify back-end
- Launched initial network of vetted suppliers across categories from apparel to jewelry to wellness to beauty to home
- Established a lean team of intrapreneurs with experience creating new ways to discover and purchase retail products from end-to-end
Where we are today:
- Focused on go-to-market launch via earned, social, and paid media to capture initial demand
- Upgrading static storefronts into story-driven digital spaces where customers can learn the stories of products, and meet the product makers
Where we (think) we are going:
- Make “shop local” a digital experience: our multimedia storefronts let customers meet the makers, understand the process, and fall in love with the story
- Enable affordable access to American-made products through aggregated demand and intelligent pricing, and other strategies
- Long term, we envision turning commerce into a new type of crowdfunding platform—layering in Shark Tank-style content and crowdfunding features to allow consumers to invest in what (and who) they believe in
So, how will we get there? That’s where you come in.
Where You Come In
While serving as the face of the brand, you’ll 1) lead us from launch to product-market fit—driving the business to $1M in revenue, and setting the course to $5M and beyond. You'll also be 2) accountable for driving measurable impact, with KPIs such as revenue uplift per supplier and the volume of organic traffic driven by “Made in America” demand.
Requirements
This is a good fit for leaders who:
- Thrive in zero-to-one environments and love wearing multiple hats
- Have experience scaling e-commerce, marketplaces, or story-first consumer brands
- Are as comfortable in spreadsheets as you are in storytelling
- Capable of shaping a company to feel like a movement
- Passionate about the mission
