Job Title: Senior U.S. Tax Accountant (Remote)

Schedule: Full-time | 8:00AM-5:00PM U.S. Time Zone (PST)

Salary: $1400-$2400 depending on experience
 

About the Role

We are hiring a highly technical and detail-oriented Senior U.S. Tax Accountant to join our remote team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a support-focused environment—reviewing complex tax returns, guiding junior staff, and ensuring quality control across the board.

Key Responsibilities

• Review complex U.S. tax returns, including 1040, 1065, 1120, 1120S, and Trust returns
  
• Provide expert tax guidance and mentorship to junior preparers
  
• Offer clear and constructive feedback during tax review processes
  
• Research and resolve complex tax issues
  
• Ensure filings are compliant with all IRS regulations and deadlines
  
• Collaborate with Tax Managers and Partners on strategy and process improvements
  
• Maintain accurate client documentation and internal systems
  
• Stay updated on federal and state tax law changes

Qualifications

• CPA (U.S.) or equivalent certification required
  
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in U.S. tax preparation and review
  
• Strong technical understanding of S Corp, Partnership, Trust, and HNW Individual returns
  
• Proven experience mentoring junior staff or reviewing preparer work
  
• Proficient in U.S. tax software such as ProConnect, Drake, or Lacerte
  
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
  
• Ability to work independently in a remote setup
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Xero, QuickBooks Online (QBO), and other cloud-based accounting tools
  
• Familiarity with platforms such as TaxDome, Google Workspace, and Slack
  
• Prior experience supporting U.S.-based accounting firms remotely
