Do you have a track record of creating insightful and thought-provoking LinkedIn updates for senior business leaders?  

Are you a ghostwriter with a proven ability to get into the head (and voice) of corporate leaders and create engaging copy on business and leadership topics?

Then CSuite Content is looking for you! 

CSuite Content is looking for a strategic social media content creator with a strong background in writing and business communications. We’re a fast-growing communications agency that works with business leaders to help them with personal branding and growing their reach and influence through their personal social media accounts. In this role, you’ll be helping to craft content behind the scenes for the personal LinkedIn accounts of prominent business influencers and CEOs.  

The ideal candidate is a strong business writer, first, with professional writing experience in marketing, communications or journalism. They also know how to build a loyal following on LinkedIn and other social channels through the use of catchy updates, community engagement, graphics and more. Bonus points if you’ve had experience managing social media for brands or influencers. Canva experience is a big plus, as is experience deploying paid social media.

In this work, you’ll be exposed to all facets of business: in addition to creating content, you’ll have the chance to interface with dynamic entrepreneurs and company leaders and learn about public relations, branding and thought leadership while working with recognized global brands.

Scope of work includes:

  • Social Content Creation: drafting intelligent, insightful, catchy and creative LinkedIn updates for clients
  • Community building and engagement: monitoring client social feeds, identifying opportunities for engagement, supercharging follower growth 
  • Developing campaign ideas for increasing clients’ following on LinkedIn. Bonus points for experience using paid social media and drafting copy for ads
  • Monitoring and reporting: tracking content metrics and supporting with social media performance reports 
  • Interfacing with world-class business leaders: asking interview questions, gathering useful ideas, sharing drafts, incorporating edits
  • Collaborating with client teams: working directly with our point of contact and other relevant members of their team (such as marketing and HR) to provide strategic input and support and create company-aligned content when necessary

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in communications, PR, journalism, business, creative writing or English 
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a business communications environment (ideally related to creating written content for corporate leaders: social updates, blog posts, speeches, etc.)
  • A portfolio of ghostwriting or brand-writing experience: published social updates, blog posts, or other written content that illustrates your writing prowess and ability to generate high-performing content
  • Strong understanding of LinkedIn platform and features and a track record of growing a following with engaging updates that are thought-provoking, intelligent and reflect appropriate tone
  • Professionalism and maturity to work with high-level business leaders
  • Self-motivated, adaptable and able to complete projects without direct supervision
  • Some experience managing social media accounts for brands, influencers or executives

Great extra skills to have:

  • Content marketing experience
  • Some basic design and creative work experience: Developing visual assets for social media using Canva, InDesign or other programs
  • Experience buying social media ads on LinkedIn
  • Experience with leveraging video for social

Expectations:

  • This is a full-time, remote position.
  • Accessibility during daytime working hours (Eastern, Central, Mountain or Pacific time zones) to handle real-time social media monitoring and engagement, as well as incoming and outbound emails, and occasional video meetings
  • Must be based in Canada or eligible to work in Canada.
