Job Description

Job Title: Backup Engineer III-IN (Rubrik & Cohesity)

Experience: 9 to 15 Years

Location: Gurgaon

Employment Type: Full Time

Shift: Rotational

Required Skills and Qualifications

Storage Administration: Experience with NetApp, Dell Isilon, Data domain.
Backup Solutions: Hands-on experience with Veritas NetBackup, Commvault, Cohesity.
Protocols: Strong knowledge of NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, FC, RAID, Object Storage.
Scripting & Automation: Nice to have skills in PowerShell, Python, Shell scripting, and Ansible.
Proven experience with enterprise-scale deployments and hybrid environments.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across IT teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Commvault, Cohesity & Rubrik (Minimum 2)
Certifications related to storage technologies, Commvault ,Cohesity & Rubrik are a plus.
Experience in ITIL-based environments or similar operational frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Operate and maintain the backend infrastructure of numerous backup environments running Cohesity, Commvault, and others.
Build new backup environ
Escalation points for backup client level issues
Assess current storage infrastructure and create plans for optimization and modernization.
Maintain & patch current Commvault & Cohesity infrastructures.
Ability to assist Backup Administrators with their escalations and troubleshoot complex issues.
Collaborate with managed service providers to ensure consistent and reliable storage and backup operations.
Experience in capacity planning, utilization analysis, and optimization efforts for storage environments.
Integrate various storage technologies (SAN, NAS, Object Storage) with enterprise backup systems.
Ensure data protection, backup, and disaster recovery strategies are in place and operational.
Contribute to cross-functional infrastructure planning (VMware, Network, Linux, Windows).
