[Job - 31834] Data Product Manager, Colombia

At CI&T, our rapid growth is fueled by the innovative solutions we create for our global clients. We are seeking a Data Product Manager to own the reporting backlog for a large-scale Finance data platform modernization at a major US mortgage lender — turning a large, legacy report inventory into a rationalized, business-defined set of deliverables built on a new curated data platform. You'll be the bridge between the client's Finance stakeholders and the development squad.

This position balances stakeholder facilitation with backlog ownership: the professional decides what carries forward, what gets rebuilt, and what gets retired from a large legacy report inventory, then keeps the delivery backlog moving against fixed program gates by resolving requirements ambiguity directly with named business owners.

Responsibilities

• Own and rationalize the report and capability inventory — deciding which legacy reports carry forward as-is, get re-pointed at the new platform, get rebuilt, or are retired.
• Groom and prioritize the delivery backlog across replication, curated-layer, semantic-model, and reporting-enablement workstreams.
• Define and validate acceptance criteria for each deliverable together with client Finance and business stakeholders.
• Facilitate the design-validation phase: gather report and table baseline requirements, resolve ambiguity with named Finance/business owners, and lock scope.
• Drive backlog and requirement decisions to clear deadlines so the delivery schedule never idles on an open question.
• Coordinate cross-functionally with the Architect, the Security & Privacy Governance Lead, and data development leads to keep scope, design, and delivery in sync.
• Track and communicate progress against delivery gates (design validation, build, cutover readiness) to client stakeholders.

Requirements for this challenge

• Solid Expes as a product manager, product owner, or business analyst on data/BI/reporting programs, owning a backlog end to end.
• Experience rationalizing a large legacy report inventory into a governed, business-defined reporting product.
• Comfortable working directly with Finance or other business-domain stakeholders to define acceptance criteria and resolve requirements ambiguity.
• Strong facilitation and stakeholder-management skills; able to drive decisions to a deadline inside a fixed-scope delivery.
• Working understanding of data platform concepts (source-to-curated data flow, semantic layers, BI tooling) sufficient to translate business need into a development backlog.
• Fluent English (C1) — daily collaboration with US-based Finance and business stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Experience with financial/GL reporting domains (chart of accounts, dimensions, close process).
• Experience in mortgage, lending, or financial-services reporting.
• Familiarity with Power BI or another enterprise BI semantic layer from a product/requirements perspective.
