We are looking for a BI Tech Lead with a strong ability to translate business requirements into metrics and visualization solutions. This role will focus on leading the design and development of reports and semantic models in Power BI, ensuring performance, and acting as the main point of contact for the migration from a legacy (SQL Server + MicroStrategy) ecosystem.

Design, build, and optimize semantic data models in Power BI to support self-service analytics and enterprise reporting.

Develop, maintain, and optimize Power BI dashboards, reports, and datasets, ensuring accuracy, usability, and performance.

Investigate and resolve data and dashboard performance issues.

Partner with data engineering teams to define and validate data pipelines in Databricks and ensure seamless integration with BI models.

Collaborate with multifunctional teams and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable BI solutions.

Drive the migration strategy from SQL Server + MicroStrategy to Databricks + Power BI, ensuring minimal disruption and high adoption.

Implement best practices in data governance (including Row-Level Security [RLS]), performance optimization, and security for BI assets.

Ensure the quality, validation, and integrity of data used for decision-making.

Proven experience in developing dashboards in Power BI.

Deep knowledge of DAX and performance optimization.

Experience managing or leading BI teams.

Consolidated experience with Data Visualisation.

Solid understanding of SQL and manipulation of large volumes of data.

Strong background in data architecture and design (from a BI requirements and performance perspective).

Familiarity with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) methodologies and data integration tools.

Knowledge of data governance, lineage, and cataloging solutions (e.g., Unity Catalog, Atlan).

Ability to analyse and interpret complex data to generate clear and understandable reports.

Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including storage, IAM, and security best practices.

Advanced English is essential.

Understanding of the entire business side.

Experience with MicroStrategy, SQL Server, and Azure Data Factory (ADF) is a significant differentiator.

Experience with the Databricks - Power BI integration.

Experience with AI/BI Tooling such as Databricks Genie and Power BI Co-pilot.

Previous experience with Atlan and Report Certification.

Familiarity with modern orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt, Dagster, Prefect).

Experience with data quality frameworks (Great Expectations, Deequ, Soda).

Certifications in Power BI.
