GKE / GDC Edge Engineer (Junior & Senior levels needed)

About the Role
PGTEK is seeking a GKE / GDC Edge Engineer to support our L400 Advanced Development capability. You will bring secure Google Cloud capabilities to connected, edge, and disconnected mission environments for federal and DoD customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design clusters/fleets, identity, networking, policy, observability, artifact promotion, upgrades, DR, and air-gapped operations
• Implement solutions using GKE, Google Distributed Cloud, Kubernetes, Helm, GitOps, and supply-chain security
• Mentor team members and contribute reusable standards
• Support RMF/FedRAMP/DoD authorization activities

• 5+ years of software, cloud, data, cybersecurity, systems, or AI engineering experience
• 3+ years of advanced hands-on experience in production or regulated environments
• Deep experience with GKE, Google Distributed Cloud, Kubernetes, Helm, GitOps, supply-chain security, networking, SRE, and federal controls

Preferred Qualifications

• CKA/CKS, Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, or related certifications
• Experience with tactical-edge or mission-critical programs

Clearance & Location
Active Secret clearance required; TS/SCI eligibility preferred. Hybrid or remote with travel to customer sites (~10–25%). Washington, DC / Northern Virginia area preferred.
