Position Overview
The Remote Financial Manager will be responsible for managing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance. This role requires a detail-oriented, analytical thinker with strong knowledge of financial best practices and experience in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support business growth and strategic decision-making.
- Monitor cash flow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to ensure financial stability.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and tax requirements.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop financial strategies and cost-saving initiatives.
- Conduct financial risk assessments and provide recommendations for mitigating risks.
- Work with external accountants and auditors to manage tax filings and financial audits.
- Implement and manage financial systems and accounting software.
- Support payroll processing and employee compensation planning.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in financial management, accounting, or a related role.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience using financial and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Experience working in a remote environment and managing financial operations virtually.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
