Project Manager, Product Development (Cosmetics)

Location: Remote

Reports to: Director of Product Development

Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Manager to join their Product Development team. This role will be pivotal in ensuring that all product launches and collaboration projects are executed on time and with excellence. The Project Manager will be responsible for maintaining timelines, managing cross-functional communication, and overseeing the artwork process from start to finish. This position requires strong project management skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and clear communication across internal teams and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

Timeline & Project Management

• Create, manage, and track project timelines for packaging and formula development across all new product programs.
• Input, maintain, and update detailed project timelines from external vendors in Asana, ensuring accuracy and visibility for the team.
• Ensure timelines between packaging, formulas and potential kitting needs are synergistic.
• Monitor deadlines and proactively flag risks, delays, or dependencies to ensure on-time delivery.
• Build and maintain high-level “executive” timelines (CEO/Marketing view) for collaboration projects and major launches.
• Run weekly product development timeline meetings to ensure the team is aligned on every milestone and on track for deliverables.

Artwork & Packaging Development

• Own the artwork process in Asana: brief designer on artwork tasks, manage routing, consolidate feedback, and track approvals between the packaging team, designers, and stakeholders.
• Ensure all packaging artwork and copy is approved, accurate, and delivered on schedule.
• Partner closely with packaging, design, and operations teams to track packaging milestones.

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of project management or product development experience, ideally within beauty/cosmetics
• Strong understanding of product development lifecycle, packaging development, and artwork routing processes.
• Exceptional organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Proficiency in Asana; experience setting up and maintaining project dashboards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working remotely and managing projects across time zones.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and solution-focused with a passion for beauty and product creation.
