Trusts & Estates Associate

Pay: $160,000 – $175,000 annually
Additional Compensation: Referral bonus + discretionary annual bonus
Benefits: Full benefits package including medical, vision, dental, and 401(k)
Schedule: Full-time (hybrid; one remote day per week)
Type: Direct Hire
Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid)

Position Overview

A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Trusts & Estates Associate Attorney to join its growing practice. The ideal candidate will have at least seven years of estate planning experience and be comfortable working with a diverse client base on complex estate, gift, and tax matters.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of estate planning experience
  • Strong understanding of probate and trust administration
  • Excellent written, verbal, and client communication skills
  • LL.M. in Taxation preferred, but not required
  • Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple complex matters simultaneously

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft and implement sophisticated estate planning strategies, including estate, gift, and generation-skipping tax planning
  • Prepare and review related tax returns
  • Manage estate and trust administration, including all aspects of Massachusetts probate and trust law
  • Handle routine probate administrations from start to finish
  • Communicate effectively with clients, fiduciaries, and professional advisors
