Job Title: Telemetry Engineer
Location: 100% Remote (U.S.)
Position Type: Full-time, Direct W2
Salary Range: $100,000–$150,000 Annually
Experience Required: 6+ years

Job Summary

We are seeking a Telemetry Engineer to design, implement, and manage enterprise observability platforms that provide actionable insights through metrics, logs, traces, and alerting. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with modern observability tools, SRE practices, and monitoring solutions for large-scale cloud environments.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in SRE, Platform Engineering, or Observability.
  • Strong experience with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and Datadog, New Relic, or Splunk.
  • Proficiency in Go, Python, or Java.
  • Experience with distributed tracing, structured logging, Linux, containers, and CI/CD.
  • Strong understanding of SRE principles, SLOs, and incident management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Thanos, Mimir, Cortex, Loki, or Tempo.
  • Familiarity with eBPF-based observability tools.
  • Experience with observability cost optimization.
  • Contributions to OpenTelemetry or other observability open-source projects.
  • Experience supporting regulated environments.
