Tax Associate (Philippines Remote)

Tax Department Role: Our tax team keeps the business compliant and helps it build an optimum treasury strategy for its worldwide operations. They manage day-to-day tax operations, support expansion into new countries, and structure legal entities and M&A deals efficiently. By adapting to the complex tax processes and strategically managing outflows, they help the company smoothly navigate changing global tax rules.

New Associate’s Responsibilities: This role primarily focuses on managing global tax compliance, streamlining tax processes with better use of technology, and building stronger partnerships with other teams across the company.

Collaboration: In this role, the Associate will work closely with the Indirect Tax team as well as cross-functional partners, including Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Collections, and Legal.

Responsibilities: 

• Assist in the preparation and filing of indirect tax returns (e.g., VAT, Sales tax) accurately and within deadlines.
• Collate financial data, documents, and records required for tax calculations and filings.
• Support the research and implementation of tax technology solutions.
• Collaborate with other teams to improve the tax process in the O2C cycle.
• Support the team in the research and analysis to identify tax opportunities and reduce potential risks.
• Lead the discussions with tax authorities during the tax audits and assessments.
• Support the team in keeping track of changes to the tax rules.

• A Finance degree and 1 to 3 years of indirect tax experience at an accounting firm.
• Strong accounting fundamentals.
• Financial analysis skills and familiarity with basic AI tools.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
