Job Description

About the Company

Ajaia is a rapidly growing AI consultancy and product studio dedicated to helping organizations move from experimentation to real results. We operate across four core pillars: AI Strategy and Advisory, AI Engineering and Automation, Workforce Training and Enablement, and Custom Product Development.

In addition to client services, Ajaia builds proprietary AI products, copilots, and vertical solutions that solve high-value industry problems. This dual model allows us to translate hands-on implementation experience into scalable products while continuously refining our approach through real-world deployment.

Our operating model combines deep technical execution with practical change management, enabling enterprises to deploy secure, compliant, and high-impact solutions that drive measurable operational value. From executive roadmapping to production-ready systems and workforce upskilling, Ajaia embeds intelligent tools directly into the workflows that matter most.

Mission: Help organizations win the AI moment.

Position Overview

Ajaia is hiring a Systems & Security Administrator to manage the company's internal IT systems, cloud infrastructure, and security controls. This is a hands-on technical role. You will administer cloud environments (GCP and Azure), manage internal tooling and access, enforce security policies, and support compliance requirements across the organization.

If you are a sysadmin who has grown into security responsibilities, or a security practitioner who is comfortable running IT operations, this role is designed for you. The company is small, fast-moving, and distributed across multiple countries. You will own a broad scope and have direct impact on how the organization operates day to day.

This is not a siloed role. You will handle everything from provisioning a new employee's laptop and accounts to configuring cloud firewall rules to supporting a SOC 2 audit. The company is AI-first, and you are expected to use AI tools to automate routine tasks, troubleshoot faster, and keep documentation current.

We expect candidates to use AI in daily workflows across research, ideation, drafting, design iteration, quality checks, and delivery acceleration. AI fluency is a core execution requirement, not optional tooling.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 3–5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Systems administration and IT operations
    • Cloud administration (GCP, Azure, or multi-cloud environments)
    • IT security and security administration
    • Internal IT support and endpoint management
    • Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 administration at an organizational level
  • Hands-on experience administering cloud environments (GCP and/or Azure)
  • Experience administering Google Workspace at an organizational level, including user management, security settings, and organizational policies
  • Experience managing user accounts, access permissions, device policies, and employee onboarding/offboarding IT workflows
  • Working knowledge of security fundamentals: access management (SSO, MFA, RBAC), endpoint protection, and network basics
  • Scripting ability for automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar)
  • Ability to monitor security events, respond to incidents, and coordinate remediation
  • Experience conducting vulnerability scans and managing patching cycles
  • Ability to maintain and update security policies, procedures, and system documentation
  • Experience managing IT vendor relationships
  • Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, fully remote, distributed environment
  • Proficiency with AI tools in daily work

Preferred Requirements:

  • Relevant certifications: CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, Google Cloud Associate, Azure Administrator, or equivalent
  • Experience with configuration management or infrastructure-as-code tools (Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, or similar)
  • Experience managing endpoint management (MDM) and device policies for distributed, remote-first teams
  • Background in small or mid-size companies where the IT function required broad, end-to-end ownership across systems, security, and support
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and SOC 2 compliance requirements, including supporting audit evidence collection
  • Experience with backup and disaster recovery procedures
  • Background in healthcare, financial services, or other regulated environments
  • Experience with security monitoring, alerting, or log management tools
  • Familiarity with GDPR or other regional data protection regulations
  • Ability to manage BYOD policies and device provisioning for international staff
