Job Description
Location: You can apply to work at Qonto as long as you're living in (or willing to relocate to) France, Germany, Spain, or Italy. This role is hybrid or remote.
Join us as a Staff Product Engineer to build Qonto's AI Software Factory. You'll start with autonomous bug resolution, aiming to fix every bug within 48 hours. You'll work under the guidance of Laetitia, our AI Core Team Lead.
What you'll do
- Own the product direction of our AI Software Factory: You'll decide what we build next and which solutions we offer engineers, acting as the product manager of the tool.
- Understand your users: You'll learn how engineers work, run 5 whys on their problems, and check that the tool fits their day.
- Ship agents on solid foundations: You'll restructure our AI Software Factory, then ship agents for bug resolution, code review, QA, auto-approval and safe auto-merge, all fed with Qonto context.
- Measure and iterate: You'll set success metrics, interpret what they tell you, and run a second iteration fast.
- Evangelise what you build: You'll promote the product across engineering and collect feedback to improve it.
What we're looking for
- Strong engineering: You write and critically review code, and you can read and understand Python.
- AI-native workflow: You have a mature personal setup for coding with AI and know how models, prompting and evaluation work.
- Product mindset: You challenge user needs, empathise with your users, and define what good looks like.
- Autonomy and pragmatism: You run work end-to-end and focus on what ships fast when the direction is blurry.
- Comfort with change: You enjoy shifting priorities and make decisions within a day.
What we can offer you
- End-to-end ownership: You'll own an internal product from vision to delivery, with engineers as your users.
- Visible impact: Your work will change how engineers build software across Qonto.
- Something new: You'll work in a fast-moving field where you're challenged daily and learn with every iteration.
- Freedom within a clear direction: You'll get a documented long-term vision and room to choose how to reach it.
