Conduct online software demonstrations for repair shop owners and managers, follow up with prospects, close new customers, and assist with onboarding.
Job Description
We’re a software company serving repair businesses, looking for someone with real repair industry experience who can confidently speak with shop owners, demonstrate software, follow up with interested prospects, and help turn them into successful long-term customers.
This is not primarily a cold-calling position. We provide leads and booked demonstrations. Your role will be focused on conducting product demos, following up with prospects, closing new customers, and helping those customers through onboarding.
Previous experience working as a mechanic, service advisor, service writer, parts advisor, shop manager, or in a closely related repair industry position is required.
Previous software sales experience is helpful, but it is not required. We can teach you the software and our sales process. We are primarily looking for someone who already understands how repair shops operate and can communicate naturally with the people who run them.
What you’ll do
- Conduct live online software demonstrations with repair shop owners and managers.
- Speak with prospects to understand their shop, processes, and challenges.
- Explain the software in practical terms that make sense to repair professionals.
- Answer product questions and handle objections.
- Follow up with prospects after demonstrations and throughout the buying process.
- Convert interested prospects into paying customers.
- Conduct and coordinate new-customer onboarding.
- Help new customers get properly set up and begin using the software successfully.
- Maintain accurate records of demos, conversations, follow-ups, next steps, and results.
- Re-engage interested prospects who have not yet purchased.
- Develop additional opportunities through your own outreach when possible.
Compensation
This position includes a guaranteed $40,000 annual base salary plus performance-based compensation.
On-target earnings are approximately $60,000 - $65,000+ per year, with additional earning potential for performance above target.
Performance compensation is based on new paying customers who remain active for a required retention period. Free-trial periods do not count toward the paid retention requirement.
Additional compensation is available for customers you independently generate through your own outreach.
The complete performance bonus structure, qualification requirements, targets, and payment schedule will be explained during the interview process.
We provide product training and conduct a formal performance review after the first 90 days.
This is a full-time, Monday–Friday remote position covering U.S. business hours. Some scheduling flexibility is required for demonstrations and onboarding appointments across different U.S. time zones.
Requirements
- Previous employment as a mechanic, technician, service advisor, service writer, parts advisor, shop manager, or in a closely related repair industry role.
- Strong understanding of how repair businesses operate.
- Clear and confident communication by phone and video.
- Comfortable speaking directly with business owners and managers.
- Ability to learn software and explain it in simple, practical terms.
- Strong organization and reliable follow-through.
- Ability to manage multiple demos, follow-ups, and onboarding appointments.
- Comfortable asking for the sale and following up with prospects.
- A quiet, professional workspace with reliable high-speed internet.
- Your own working PC or laptop capable of running video meetings, screen sharing, and browser-based software simultaneously.
- Working webcam and headset or suitable microphone.
Previous sales experience is preferred but not required.
Applicants without previous repair industry experience will not be considered.
