Job Description

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Senior Administrator / Subject Matter Expert (SME) is responsible for the configuration, administration, and ongoing support of the Hexagon SDx & SPF solution.  Beyond administration, this role is accountable for leading defined scopes of work (SOWs), guiding delivery teams, and serving as the primary interface with the client. The Senior Administrator ensures systems are aligned with client engineering standards and business processes across the project and operations lifecycle, while building trusted relationships with stakeholders and representing ReVisionz with professionalism and technical excellence.

CORE RESPONSIBILITES:

System Administration and Configuration

  • Act as the single point of contact and SME for the designated application.
  • Install product software, hot fixes, and patches (in collaboration with client IT groups).
  • Configure system standards (e.g., data classes, reports, dashboards, forms, workflows, reference data, and symbology).
  • Manage user groups, profiles, and permissions.
  • Perform system backups, database integrity checks, and corrective actions.

 Data Management and Reporting

  • Configure data loading templates, validation rules, and data import/export processes.
  • Perform data quality and integrity audits across the engineering information lifecycle.
  • Create and manage reports, templates, and metadata rules.
  • Support content loading, troubleshooting, and migration activities.

Integration and Process Enablement

  • Develop and maintain interfaces with external business systems (e.g., SAP, design tools, asset management systems).
  • Design tool integration mapping and perform data publish and retrieve functional testing – integrating Hexagon design tools (S3D, SPID, SPI & SEL) with SmartPlant Foundation (SPF).
  • Support management of change (MOC) / concurrent engineering processes.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and automation.

 User Support and Training

  • Provide desk-side and remote support to end users.
  • Develop training materials and deliver training sessions for administrators and end users.
  • Mentor client stakeholders to build capability in SDx.

 Client Engagement and Leadership

  • Working with ReVisionz delivery lead(s) assist in coordination of  scopes of work, interfacing with client stakeholders and representing ReVisionz in a professional and ethical manner.
  • Interface with client stakeholders, building strong relationships with engineering SMEs, EPCs, and vendors.
  • Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Support project/delivery managers in risk identification and escalation.

Requirements

THIS PROJECT IS IN THE NUCLEAR INDUSTRY AND TO BE CONSIDERED, CANDIDATES:

1.     Must be a Canadian or U.S. resident and citizen.

2.     Candidates with citizenships from other countries must be listed in Appendix A to Part 810, Title 10 Generally Authorized Destinations to be eligible:

3.     Must pass a 5-panel drug and alcohol test and a NATO security/background check.

4.     Willing to complete a skills assessment following a successful interview.

Other Experience:

  • Hands-on experience administering and supporting SmartPlant Foundation (SPF) and/or SDx in Owner/Operator or EPC environments.
  • Strong understanding of engineering information lifecycle and how these tools support projects and operations.
  • Demonstrated experience creating user/administrator documentation and training materials.
  • Proficiency with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server) and understanding of data integrity management.
  • Working knowledge of programming/scripting (Visual Basic, C#, APIs) is an asset.
  • Background in Oil & Gas, Chemicals, or Mining with exposure to medium-to-large projects.
  • Degree or certification in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
