We are seeking a Product Manager for Smart Building to own specific product initiatives across Access and IoT product offerings. Current list of initiatives include launching a partner API for Chirp Access Control, improvements to Smart Water, which track anomalies in property-wide water consumption to alert for potential hidden water issues, supporting migration of legacy sites to an upgraded platform. Our team is lean and dynamic and shifts to best support our customers with innovation, enhancements and maintaining the current experience and integrations.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Smart Building VP of Product, this person will work at the intersection of product ownership and partner strategy - deeply understanding operator workflows and resident expectations, helping to shape and grow our current Product Offerings on the Smart Building platform through structured discovery and strong business requirements documentation.

  • Translate operator and resident insights into well-scoped product requirements; write PRDs consistent with RealPage standards that support optimal development velocity and minimize rework.

  • Partner with Marketing, Sales and Channel to develop compelling go-to-market messaging, materials for stakeholder tiger teams

Qualifications

Required:

  • 2–4 years of product management experience, with demonstrated growth as an individual contributor in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • General knowledge of access control hardware and credential ecosystems (e.g., BLE, NFC, RFID, MDU readers, cloud-based access management platforms). You’re not a hardware expert but you understand the capabilities and value of access hardware.
  • Proven track record of owning a product, major feature or initiative end-to-end: strategy, roadmap, delivery, and post-launch iteration.
  • Customer discovery skills — experience conducting qualitative research (interviews, shadowing) and translating findings into product direction.
  • Excellent documentation skills; comfortable authoring BRDs, PRDs, and product specs that serve multiple downstream audiences (engineering, design, sales, implementation).
  • Ability to work collaboratively across Smart Building Product and Engineering teams, including key stakeholders
  • Clear and persuasive communicator, able to present scope rationale and trade-off decisions to senior leadership.
  • Analytical mindset; comfortable defining success metrics and using data to validate product decisions.

  • Exposure to Agile frameworks and Azure DevOps or equivalent backlog management tools.
  • Familiar with AI Tools and usability level between an AI Adaptor or AI Orchestrator.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; MBA or equivalent experience a plus
