At Deliveroo, our People Tech team makes sure the systems behind our people experience run smoothly and grow with us. We’re a cross-functional group that partners with vendors and teams across Deliveroo to get the most out of our tech — and now we’re looking for a Senior People Tech Specialist to join us.
In this role, you’ll take the lead on building and maintaining our People Tech systems across all the countries where we operate (and the new ones we expand into). You’ll work closely with recruitment, HR partners, policy leads, and reward teams — gaining exposure to every part of the People function.
We’re looking for someone who knows Workday inside out. You’ll bring hands-on experience in Core HCM design, Security, Talent & Performance, Absence, and Compensation — and you’ll use that expertise to help us make smart decisions, solve problems, and keep improving how our systems work.
What you’ll be doing
Acting as a key part of the People Tech team — balancing business-as-usual support with new projects.
Managing stakeholders through implementation and support, keeping communication clear and expectations aligned.
Reviewing and improving existing Workday configurations so we get the most from our systems.
Owning queries and issues related to Workday and other People systems.
Spotting opportunities for improvement, sharing best practices, and helping us adopt new features in future Workday releases.
What we’re looking for
Must-haves
At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Workday HCM, Talent & Performance.
Strong proficiency in Workday Security.
Experience with People Tech/HRIS design principles.
Knowledge of data privacy, governance, and access controls.
Awareness of how HR integrations impact wider systems.
Nice-to-haves
Experience working in a Workday business-as-usual cycle for a tech-driven organisation.
A track record of supporting Workday implementation projects end-to-end.
Workday HCM Pro Certification.
Knowledge of Absence, Recruitment, Time Tracking, and Advanced Compensation.
Experience with workforce management systems.
