We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Electrical Designer to join our team. In this role, you will assist in designing projects across various markets, including Oil & Gas, Industrial, and Water/Wastewater. This individual will be responsible for designing and drafting electrical tasks and working with Engineers, Technical Leaders, and Designers.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead the design process for complex projects such as: Design branch circuit layout, panel scheduling, grounding plans, electrical area classification plans, and power distribution design
  • Design and layout engineering drawings, performing drafting and design as needed.
  • Lead and mentor design teams while reviewing and ensuring the quality of engineering sketches, drawings, specifications, and related deliverables to ensure high-quality work
  • Ensure all design work complies with industry standards, project guidelines, NEC, and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with clients, vendors, and suppliers to understand their needs, objectives, and vision for the design
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to document existing conditions and ensure design integrity and quality (travel estimated 10%)
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, timelines, and resources
  • Stay updated with the latest design trends, techniques, and technologies
  • Provide technical expertise and problem-solving support throughout the project lifecycle

What You'll Bring:

  • An Associate or Engineering Degree
  • 7+ years of relevant design experience
  • Proficiency in designing in AutoCAD (Revit or Plant 3D experience is a plus)
  • Experience with ETAP and/or SKM Power Analysis Software is a plus
  • Experience with voltage drop calculations and appropriate cable sizing for electrical systems
  • Proficiency in NEC codes design standards
  • Ability to work independently on projects
  • Ability to specify portions of the engineering systems based on past experience

Salary Range:

At Verdantas, we offer comprehensive benefits packages for our employees. Actual salary is based on the circumstances of each position and candidate, such as geographic location, skills, and certifications. We recognize and reward exceptional performance and strive to ensure fair compensation across all roles and departments within the company. The minimum pay for this position is $45/hour (negotiable based on the criteria presented above).
