Senior Data Engineer

About the role

We are expanding our Data & BI team and looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to own the data model and the medallion framework (Bronze, Silver, Gold) that turn raw data into trusted, business-ready numbers. Our platform runs on Google Cloud, with dbt on BigQuery, Airflow and ClickHouse.

What you'll do

• Design and own the medallion framework: Bronze for raw landing, Silver for cleaned and conformed data, Gold for business-ready marts
• Design the core dimensional model of facts and dimensions (traffic, clicks, registrations, deposits, commissions, costs), with clear grain and conformed keys
• Build these layers as tested, documented transformation models with agreed business definitions
• Write and maintain Airflow DAGs, and use ClickHouse for high-volume event data
• Add data quality checks and alerts, help integrate new sources, and take part in architecture discussions and code reviews

What we're looking for

• At least 4 years' working experience as a Data Engineer or Data Warehouse developer
• Working experience in the iGaming or affiliate marketing industry
• Excellent, confident SQL: complex joins, window functions and tuning queries on large datasets
• Very good, production-level Python for pipelines, API integrations and automation
• Hands-on experience with dbt, Airflow and BigQuery (or Snowflake, Redshift), with ClickHouse as a plus
• Strong data modelling skills: star schemas, fact grain, conformed dimensions, slowly changing dimensions and surrogate keys
• Proven experience designing and building a layered (medallion) architecture in production
• Experience with Git and CI/CD
• Uses AI coding assistants (such as Claude Code or Copilot) to speed up development, and reviews what they produce
• Very good communication skills in English (mandatory)
• Experience with Spark/PySpark, Databricks, Delta Lake, AWS (S3, AppFlow, Step Functions), ClickHouse or Terraform (nice to have).
