Senior Bookkeeper (US Experience)

LauLau is seeking a highly experienced, detail-oriented, and exceptionally reliable Bookkeeper to support our US-based CPA and accounting firm clients. This role requires strong expertise in US bookkeeping practices, mastery of QuickBooks Online, and the ability to maintain accurate financial records while working directly with accounting teams and client stakeholders in a high-performance remote environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for multiple business entities.
  • Perform daily bookkeeping functions, including transaction categorization, journal entries, and account maintenance.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • Conduct monthly bank, credit card, and account reconciliations with exceptional accuracy.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Prepare bookkeeping reports and support financial statement preparation.
  • Maintain organized financial documentation and ensure compliance with client and firm requirements.
  • Collaborate with accounting teams and clients to resolve discrepancies and gather financial information.
  • Utilize AI tools and modern accounting technologies to improve efficiency, accuracy, and workflow management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of bookkeeping experience, including at least 2 recent years working within a US accounting or CPA firm.
  • Expert-level proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
  • Experience with additional accounting platforms such as Xero, NetSuite, or FreshBooks is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of US accounting and tax conventions.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive financial information with precision, consistency, and absolute confidentiality.
  • Excellent written English communication skills for professional interactions with firms and clients.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
