Senior/Lead Backend Engineer - FinTech/Crypto

location: Remote - Fully remote across Europe - they can do B2B or hire through EoR.

compensation: $115K - $130K

We are seeking a Senior/Lead Backend Engineer to join our team dedicated to revolutionizing the FinTech and crypto industries. You will be a pillar of our engineering team, working directly with the product team to solve complex banking and crypto problems. This role requires an obsession with robust architecture, efficiency, and resilience, and a commitment to delivering the most elegant solutions and the best product for our customers.

This is a fast-paced, high-impact role where your speed, ability to deliver, and capacity for elegant problem-solving will be critical. You will be responsible for building the core services that drive our new paradigm in finance.

What you’ll be working on:

• Develop the core banking and blockchain services.
• Develop and maintain the mobile API that feeds our mobile applications and web platform.
• Integrate with partners and services across the financial and crypto ecosystem.
• Develop, test, debug, and deploy microservices and APIs to support our core business functions.
• Contribute expertise in developing, testing, and deploying robust APIs.

• Seniority: This is a Senior/Lead position.
• Domain Experience: Experience in FinTech and/or Crypto is required.
• Core Language: Experience with Kotlin.
• Modern Stack: Enjoy working with the modern backend stack, including Kafka, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
• Cloud & Deployment: Experience with GCP (Google Cloud Platform) is preferred.
• Microservices: Ability to develop, test, and deploy scalable microservices to support our core business.
• APIs: Ability to develop, debug, test, and deploy robust APIs.
• Teamwork: Strong team player mentality: Credit the team & Blame no one.
