Job Description
Join Qonto's Financial Crime team as a Screening Analyst and play a critical role in protecting our growing client base from money laundering and terrorist financing risks. You'll ensure our 600,000 customers operate within a secure, compliant environment by conducting thorough PEP, sanctions, and adverse media screenings across our European markets.
Working closely with Marina, our Lead AFC Sanctions & Investigations, you'll contribute to maintaining a robust compliance framework that protects Qonto's customers and enables the company to achieve its goal of serving 2M SMEs by 2030.
➡️ What you'll do
- Screen and investigate alerts from World-Check One and ComplyAdvantage against PEPs, Sanctions Lists, and Adverse Media
- Process transaction screening alerts in a timely manner, making acceptance or refusal decisions in our tooling system
- Maintain detailed documentation of all PEP and Sanctions files, ensuring complete audit trails
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (CFT Swift, Fraud, SEPA, Open Banking, AML) to improve processes and maintain seamless operations
- Contribute to compliance projects, including implementing new procedures and improving tool calibration
➡️ What we're looking for
- Experience: At least first experience in AML/Compliance, with screening expertise in PEPs, sanctions, and adverse media
- Languages: Fluent in English. German language is a plus
- Technical skills: Strong understanding of sanctions regulations and Excel/Google Sheets proficiency for tracking and reporting
- Working style: Organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize tasks while managing multiple cases efficiently
- Cultural fit: Proactive communicator who thrives in fast-paced fintech environments and isn't afraid to share feedback
