Job Title: Recruitment Consultant – Financial Technology Sector

Location: Remote (UK-based preferred)

Salary: R30,000 - R35,000 per month

Reporting to: Delivery Team Lead

A leading UK-based executive search firm, established in 2002, specialising in the Financial Technology sector. The firm supports a wide range of clients from global enterprises to high-growth SMEs by delivering tailored, high-quality recruitment solutions. With recent growth in its Interim and Fractional Practice, the company is now looking for a highly capable and experienced Recruitment Consultant to help meet increasing client demand.

Role Overview

We are seeking a confident, articulate, and commercially minded Recruitment Consultant with a strong understanding of SaaS and financial technology markets. The successful candidate will be expected to source, qualify, and represent high-performing professionals to our clients. This role requires someone who goes beyond basic CV keyword matching and can critically evaluate candidate suitability with insight and rigour.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively source and headhunt candidates using strategic search methods beyond Boolean strings.
  • Evaluate candidates against specific client needs, identifying commercial indicators like sales performance, quota achievement, and industry relevance.
  • Present and advocate for candidates with clear rationale and commercial awareness.
  • Represent candidates effectively in client meetings and interviews (remote or face-to-face).
  • Challenge candidates constructively, probing into sales results and validating achievements.
  • Deliver high-quality outcomes under pressure and tight timelines with minimal supervision.
  • Foster strong relationships with both clients and candidates through clear, professional communication.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and continuously look to enhance internal processes.
  • Actively contribute in internal and client meetings with industry knowledge and insight.

Requirements

Required Experience & Attributes

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in recruitment ,within SaaS, FinTech, or financial services technology.
  • Proven ability to build rapport and influence both candidates and clients.
  • Strong analytical and commercial judgment with an eye for identifying genuine talent.
  • Confident, credible, and articulate communicator with a professional presence.
  • Demonstrated ability to challenge assumptions and verify candidate claims effectively.
  • Self-disciplined, independent, and highly organised, especially in a remote setting.

Desirable

  • Experience working in a high-performance or boutique executive search environment.
  • Exposure to interim or fractional hiring models.
  • Understanding of software workflows, pain points, and buyer motivations within financial services
