As a QA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute test plans, identify defects, and ensure that our applications meet the highest standards of quality before they are released to customers.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand product requirements and user stories.
- Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements.
- Execute manual and automated tests to validate the functionality, usability, and performance of software applications.
- Identify and document defects with detailed steps to reproduce, and track them through resolution using bug tracking systems.
- Participate in design and code reviews to provide feedback on testability and potential quality issues.
- Maintain and expand automated test suites using appropriate tools and frameworks.
- Perform regression testing to ensure that software changes do not introduce new defects.
- Set up and manage test environments and test data to support testing activities.
- Monitor and analyze test results, identify trends, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Continuously learn and stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices in software quality assurance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in software quality assurance, including manual and automated testing.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG).
- Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or Ruby.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
- ISTQB or other relevant certifications are desirable but not required.
