Job Description

The Opportunity
 

Ensuring the operational readiness of our robots by performing in-house maintenance and repairs in time is the core of this technical role. You will have a direct impact on customer success by performing diagnostics and hardware repairs on ANYmal robots and their components. You will take on full responsibilities ranging from electrical and mechanical assemblies to testing complete robots. You will collaborate with various teams and contribute to the improvement of our maintenance and manufacturing processes. We are looking for an independent and motivated Robotics Technician (Polymechanic / Electronics or Automation Technician) to join our team, which focuses on maintaining customer robots as well as our internal fleet, and supporting the prototype and series production of new robots at our production site in the city of Zurich.

Responsibilities

Your Contributions

  • Maintenance, diagnostic and repair of customer robots and our internal fleet
  • Troubleshooting electromechanical products and prototypes to identify and fix technical issues
  • Conducting tests and quality control of components and robots, including commissioning
  • Manufacturing and assembly of modules and robots for prototypes and 0-Series production
  • Documenting non-conformances and contributing to corrective and preventive actions
  • Contributing to the further development of our manufacturing, assembly, and test procedures
  • Supporting the continuous improvement of the technical equipment and infrastructure
  • Your Profile

  • Apprenticeship as a Polymechanic or Automation Technician EFZ
  • 3 years + work experience in the field of mechatronics or equipment manufacturing
  • Good practical knowledge in the assembly of electromechanical components
  • Understanding of technical drawings and work instructions
  • Experience with measuring tools, testing equipment and ESD standards
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
  • Good general computer skills (preferably Google Workspace)
  • Very good German and English skills (Level B2)
  • Bonus Points

  • Experience in production, repair and troubleshooting of electronic assemblies
  • Driving license CH-Cat. B
