The Role

We are seeking native Portuguese speakers with knowledge of both European and Brazilian variants to annotate speech data for AI training. Accurate annotation of pronunciation, nasalization, and dialectal differences is critical for building high-quality language models.

Key Responsibilities

• Transcribe Portuguese speech accurately, differentiating European and Brazilian pronunciations.
• Annotate nasalized vowels and consonants, which affect word meaning and recognition.
• Capture connected speech and regional pronunciation differences.
• Tag paralinguistic events such as hesitations, laughter, or background noises.
• Maintain annotation consistency and follow internal quality standards.

Requirements

• Native-level proficiency in Portuguese.
• Strong understanding of European and Brazilian dialect differences.
• Excellent transcription and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in linguistics, transcription, or speech annotation.
• Familiarity with generative AI or machine learning concepts.
