Physician Advisory Reviewer - Neurological Surgery IL

Description

Dane Street, a leading Independent Review Organization (IRO) and national provider of Utilization Review (UR) services, is currently expanding our physician panel. We are seeking Board-Certified Neurological Surgeons with an active Illinois medical license to perform independent medical reviews on a flexible, remote (telework) basis.

This is a non-clinical, contract opportunity (1099) ideal for physicians interested in supplemental income and non-traditional work while maintaining an active surgical or clinical practice.

Position Details

Compensation: Per-case payment (average case takes 15–20 minutes)
Workload: You set your own schedule and case volume

Key Responsibilities

• Provide medical necessity determinations on treatment and surgical requests
• Review appealed cases and render evidence-based opinions
• No direct patient care or treatment involved – this is advisory only
• Complete all reviews using Dane Street’s secure and user-friendly portal

Requirements

• Current, unrestricted Illinois Medical License
• Board Certification in Neurological Surgery
• Active clinical or surgical practice
• Strong written communication skills
