- Review payroll system to ensure union rate compliance
- Assist with system setup requirements, including Jira Ticket creation, review and validation
- Ensure compliance with Federal & Provincial payroll legislation and company policy
- Process CRA Remittances
- Process Garnishment’s
- Process EHT Remittances
- Process Union Payments
- Respond to union inquiries
- Liaison with branches on payroll related items
- Maintain employee records as per government regulations
- Assist with other duties as assigned
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a payroll processing role and/or a strong understanding of fundamental payroll procedures.
- Experience with analyzing deductions, remittances, taxes, CPP, EI is required
- Experience with salaried, hourly union and non-union payroll is required
- Knowledge of relevant government regulations across Canada
- PCP or CPM designation preferred - or relevant work experience
- Experience with SAP Success Factors preferred
- Must have strong knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office, especially excel skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Accuracy and detail orientated
- Analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
