Job Description
Fully remote from South Africa. UK hours, 09:00 to 17:00 UK (10:00 to 18:00 SAST). Full time, permanent.
Salary: R42 000 to R47 000 per month.
Start: early October 2026.
A UK property development business is hiring an Operations Manager to run the day to day, fully remote from South Africa, working UK hours. You will be the founder's number two in a business about to quadruple in size.
Our client secures planning permission on land for investors and sells it on, and runs a paid programme teaching others to do the same. The founder has built it over fourteen years and is about to take on significant investment. He needs someone to hold the operation together so he can focus on investors, deals and delivery.
What you will own
Running the small team day to day, including a land acquisitions manager and an operations assistant, and holding them to weekly targets.
Coordinating outsourced marketing suppliers across social, email and paid ads. Briefing them, chasing them, checking the quality. You are not doing the marketing yourself.
Supporting a cohort of around twenty paying programme clients through onboarding, weekly coaching calls and their questions.
Keeping every deal and project moving in Monday.com, and being the person who notices when something has stalled.
Building the written processes and onboarding that a growing team needs.
Being the layer between the founder and everyone else, so his time goes on investors, signing off deals and speaking to landowners.
Requirements
Five or more years in an operations manager, general manager or number two role.
Experience managing people remotely and holding them to weekly numbers, not just supporting a team.
Experience working directly to a business owner, with the judgement to make daily decisions without checking first.
Confidence coordinating suppliers and contractors, including on the telephone.
Working knowledge of Monday.com or a close equivalent such as ClickUp, Asana or Trello, plus Slack, and comfort using AI tools in your day to day work.
Property, land, planning or construction experience.
Experience running a paid client programme, cohort or membership.
Previous work with UK businesses.
