Starting Pay: From $32.00 per hour (higher compensation may be available based on experience)
Work Area: Candidates should be located near Georgetown, DE, Sterling, VA, Baltimore, MD, or Washington, DC

Position Overview

We are hiring a Metal Installation Crew Supervisor to lead field installation projects involving stairs, railings, and miscellaneous metal systems. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for coordinating installation crews, maintaining quality standards, ensuring job-site safety, and serving as the primary point of contact during field operations.

The ideal candidate has experience installing miscellaneous metals, leading crews, and working closely with general contractors to keep projects on schedule.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support field crews installing stairs, railings, and miscellaneous metal products.
  • Coordinate daily work activities with the General Contractor and other job-site personnel.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to verify proper layout, measurements, and installation requirements.
  • Plan daily work assignments, organize materials, and ensure crews have the tools needed to complete projects efficiently.
  • Verify employee certifications and ensure all work is performed in accordance with established safety requirements.
  • Complete daily field reports, vehicle inspections, and required project documentation.
  • Monitor the condition of company tools, equipment, and service vehicles.
  • Serve as the on-site safety lead by enforcing PPE requirements and site-specific safety procedures.
  • Conduct or review Toolbox Safety Talks and promote safe work practices throughout the project.

  • Requirements

    Required Qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience in miscellaneous metals installation preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Foreman, Lead Installer, or Supervisor is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and safety documentation.
  • Strong math skills, including the ability to work with angles, degrees, and standard measurements.
  • Working knowledge of AWS D1.1 and welding processes, including SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, and GTAW.
  • Current welding certifications or the ability to successfully complete a weld test.
