Metal Finisher / Grinder Operator

Requirements:

• Knowledge of metal finishing techniques.
• Experience using hand and power tools (grinders, sanders, belt sanders).
• Familiarity with different types of metals (steel, stainless steel, aluminum).
• Ability to finish thin or light gauge sheet metal.
• Must be able to lift 50–75 lbs and stand for the entire shift.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Safety-conscious with attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Grind, sand, debur, and polish sheet metal parts to prepare for coating.
• Lift and position workpieces manually onto tables.
• Use electric or pneumatic tools to remove weld marks or paint.
• Select the appropriate sanding and grinding media for each job.
• Transport materials using carts, pallet jacks, or by hand.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all safety protocols.
• Complete additional general labor tasks as required.
