Medical Biller - Dermatology

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Medical Biller to support a busy, comprehensive dermatology practice offering medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology care. That range of services means a correspondingly wide range of billing scenarios — from routine medical visits and biopsies to surgical procedures and self-pay cosmetic services — so this role calls for someone who's comfortable navigating multiple billing types accurately and efficiently.
You'll play a key role in keeping the practice's revenue cycle running smoothly, submitting clean claims, and following up to make sure the practice gets paid correctly and on time.

What You'll Do

• Process and submit medical billing claims accurately and in a timely manner
• Manage the full claims lifecycle — submission, tracking, follow-up, and resolution of denials or rejections
• Maintain accurate billing records within ModMed
• Coordinate with front office and clinical staff to ensure billing information is complete and correct across medical, surgical, and cosmetic services
• Identify and resolve billing discrepancies or claim issues proactively

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Medical billing experience
• ModMed experience
• Claims experience — submission, tracking, and follow-up

Nice to Have

• Billing Supervisor experience — not required, but a strong plus for candidates looking to bring additional oversight or leadership to the billing process
