Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Full-stack Engineer to help evolve a web application, build reliable enterprise integrations, and scale document processing capabilities.
In this role, you will work across front-end and back-end development, translating design specifications into high-quality user experiences while developing versioned APIs and scalable processing workflows. You will contribute to integrations with enterprise platforms such as SAP S/4HANA and Ivalua, helping deliver robust and maintainable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Rebuild and enhance the web application based on the Design team's mockups, using Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
- Develop user-facing features, including PDF grounding views that help users review and validate information extracted from documents.
- Design, develop, and maintain versioned APIs using Python and Django REST Framework.
- Build and maintain integrations between Pegasus, SAP S/4HANA, and Ivalua, ensuring reliable data exchange across systems.
- Scale asynchronous batch processing with Celery to support workloads involving up to 10,000 PDF documents.
- Work with PostgreSQL to support application data management and persistence.
- Implement user metrics to provide insights into application usage and support data-driven improvements.
- Ensure application quality through automated testing, code reviews, documentation, and engineering best practices.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across the application, APIs, integrations, and background processing workflows.
- Collaborate with design, product, and engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions aligned with business needs.
Requirements for this challenge
- Strong professional experience in full-stack software development.
- Hands-on experience with Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience developing APIs with Django REST Framework.
- Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL, including data modeling and database interactions.
- Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs and integrating external enterprise systems.
- Experience with asynchronous task processing and background jobs, particularly Celery.
- Understanding of scalable application architecture, performance optimization, and reliable data processing.
- Experience translating design mockups into responsive, user-friendly interfaces.
- Knowledge of software testing, version control, code reviews, and maintainable coding practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and take ownership of technical solutions.
Nice to Have
- Experience integrating with SAP S/4HANA and procurement or enterprise platforms such as Ivalua.
- Experience processing large volumes of documents, particularly PDFs.
- Familiarity with document preview, annotation, grounding, or validation interfaces.
- Experience implementing product analytics, user metrics, and usage tracking.
- Knowledge of cloud-based deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and application observability.
- Experience improving the performance and reliability of distributed processing workflows.
