IT Helpdesk Agent

Salary: R29 000 per month

Remote Recruitment is hiring an IT Helpdesk Agent to support a UK employer's staff from South Africa. You will be the first person people reach when something stops working, and the reason they get back to work quickly.

Good first-line support is half diagnosis and half reassurance. This role suits someone who can do both without making anyone feel foolish for asking.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to first-line support requests by phone, email and chat.
• Diagnose and resolve common hardware, software and account issues.
• Log and track tickets through to resolution.
• Escalate complex problems with clear, complete notes.
• Guide users through fixes in plain language.
• Maintain documentation so recurring issues get faster to solve.

What You Will Need

• Experience in IT support or a helpdesk role.
• Familiarity with Windows, Microsoft 365 and common ticketing tools.
• Clear spoken and written English.
• Patience and genuine problem-solving instincts.
• A reliable laptop and stable connection.

Working Hours

• Full-time position.
• Fully remote, based in South Africa.
• 09:00–17:00 UK time (11:00–19:00 SAST).
