Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment & Diesel Mechanic to keep heavy equipment, trucks, trailers, cranes, and other motorized equipment operating safely and reliably. This role involves routine maintenance, troubleshooting, field repairs, and emergency service.

Responsibilities

Diagnose mechanical problems and complete repairs on heavy equipment, trucks, trailers, cranes, and related machinery.

Perform preventive maintenance and respond to urgent repair needs.

Review repair priorities and coordinate work with the maintenance team.

Gather required parts, tools, and equipment for assigned repairs.

Complete work orders with mileage, operating hours, repairs, and other required details.

Respond to emergency service calls and communicate critical equipment issues.

Work efficiently to reduce equipment downtime.

Maintain shop tools, equipment, and work areas.

Follow safety procedures and applicable regulations.

Perform other mechanical and maintenance duties as needed.

Travel & Schedule

Up to 50% travel, including out-of-town and out-of-state assignments.

Must be available 24/7 for emergency calls.

Extended hours may be required based on operational needs.

Ability to work outdoors and in changing weather conditions.

Requirements

Physical Requirements

Frequent bending, twisting, stooping, walking, and lifting.

Ability to perform hands-on mechanical work for extended periods.

Regularly lift up to 50 lbs.

Assistance required for items weighing more than 75 lbs.

Ability to safely perform work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
