Acclaro is currently recruiting Freelance Mobile App Testers to help test an innovative financial services mobile application. This is a fully remote opportunity that allows you to work independently, complete short weekly assignments, and gain experience in app testing and quality assurance.

No previous software testing experience is necessary. We provide all training materials, step-by-step instructions, and project guidelines to help you succeed.

Over a project period of approximately 2 to 3 months, you'll receive regular testing tasks while becoming part of Acclaro's global freelance community supporting leading international brands.

What You'll Do

As a Freelance Functional App Tester, you will evaluate a financial management mobile application from an end-user perspective and help ensure it functions correctly across real-world environments.

Your Responsibilities

• Execute assigned mobile app testing scenarios
• Follow detailed testing instructions and workflows
• Record your smartphone screen while completing test cases
• Identify and document unexpected app behavior
• Submit screen recordings and concise test reports
• Report issues clearly and accurately in English
• Complete assignments within project deadlines

Typical workload

• Testers will be engaged throughout a 2-3 month project period and will receive recurring testing assignments as features are released and validated.
• Assignments typically require approximately 30-60 minutes to complete, depending on the testing scenario.

Project Details

• Location: Remote (Austria) - This project is limited to individuals residing in Austria because the mobile application is designed for the Austrian banking market and requires local banking and mobile verification capabilities.
• Contract Type: Freelance / Independent contractor
• Project Duration: Approximately 2–3 months
• Compensation: This is a paid freelance contractor opportunity. Compensation will be determined based on the candidate's proposed rates and project requirements.

Acclaro is seeking to engage up to 10 freelance testers for an active 2-3 month testing project. Selected testers will be onboarded and assigned recurring project work throughout the engagement period.

To participate, applicants must meet all of the following requirements.

1. Banking Requirement (Mandatory):

• This project supports quality assurance testing of a mobile application developed for the Austrian financial services market. To ensure realistic testing conditions, participants must have access to a personal bank account issued by a bank operating in Austria.
• The requirement is solely related to validating local user workflows and authentication experiences. Acclaro does not request or access banking credentials, account passwords, PIN codes, or financial information beyond what is necessary to confirm eligibility for participation.

2. Mobile Device Requirement:

You must own a smartphone running on

• iOS 18 or later, or
• Android 7 or later.
• This is a mandatory technical requirement for our secure testing environment. An Austrian mobile number is required because the application being tested uses Austrian-specific authentication and verification workflows.

3. English Language Skills

You should be comfortable:

• Understanding written English instructions
• Following English-language testing guidelines
• Writing brief test reports in English

Please note that while Austria is a multilingual market, project communication and reporting will be conducted in English.

4. Technical Skills

You should be comfortable:

• Installing and using mobile applications
• Following detailed step-by-step instructions
• Identifying unexpected mobile app behavior
• Recording your smartphone screen
• Submitting reports accurately and on time

No previous experience in software testing, QA testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), or mobile application testing is required.

6. Remote Working Requirements

• The ability to complete assignments within the requested timeframe
