💼 Your Role:

You’ll own client billing, candidate payroll, and internal reporting + help us improve the way we operate.

  • Billing & Client Finance
    • Send monthly invoices and set up subscriptions through Stripe
    • Track payments and follow up on unpaid invoices
    • Own and reduce our % of MRR in unpaid invoices
    • Process client refunds where applicable
    • Support with offboarding workflows and financial wrap-up
  • Candidate Payroll
    • Set up payroll for new hires, track semi-monthly payments
    • Ensure alignment between payroll and client billing
    • Flag discrepancies proactively
    • Manage and monitor margins on placed candidates
  • Financial Reconciliation & Audit
    • Regularly audit active clients vs. payments received
    • Cross-check paid candidates against active billing
    • Identify and resolve inconsistencies
  • Operational Improvements
    • Spot and fix process bottlenecks
    • Help create and update SOPs
    • Track metrics like gross margin and payroll accuracy

Requirements

🫵 About You:

  • 2-3+ years experience in finance operations, billing, payroll, or similar roles – ideally as a Finance Manager or in a role with high ownership
  • Confident owning end-to-end finance processes: invoicing, payroll setup, subscription management, refunds, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Proven ability to audit and clean up financial operations – you've worked with client accounts, contractor payroll, and internal controls
  • Analytical mindset – able to track key metrics like unpaid MRR and gross margin, and draw insights to improve them
  • Able to take full ownership of the role with minimal supervision after initial onboarding
  • Comfortable with tools like:
    • Google Sheets / Docs
    • Stripe
    • Notion
    • Slack
    • Zoom
  • Bonus: Experience with HubSpot, Gusto, Xero, or similar finance / payroll systems
  • Fully remote-ready with a reliable laptop and strong internet connection
