Field Installation Supervisor - Metal Fabrication

Location: Candidates must reside near Georgetown, DE; Sterling, VA; Baltimore, MD; or Washington, DC
Job Type: Direct Hire
Starting Pay: From $32.00/hour (Higher compensation available based on experience.)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Field Installation Supervisor to lead installation crews performing miscellaneous metal work, including stairs, railings, and custom metal assemblies. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for coordinating daily field operations, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring a safe and productive job site.

  • Supervise installation crews performing miscellaneous metal installations.
  • Coordinate daily activities with general contractors and project teams.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate layout and installation.
  • Organize labor, materials, and equipment for efficient job site operations.
  • Enforce PPE requirements and site-specific safety procedures.
  • Verify employee certifications and maintain safety compliance.
  • Complete daily field reports, vehicle inspections, and job documentation.
  • Monitor and maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
  • Conduct toolbox safety talks and promote safe work practices.
  • Serve as the on-site leader to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

  • Requirements

    Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in miscellaneous metals or structural metal installation preferred.
  • Previous foreman, lead, or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret safety documentation.
  • Strong math skills, including angles, degrees, and standard measurements.
  • Working knowledge of AWS D1.1.
  • Experience with SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, and GTAW welding processes.
  • Current welding certifications or the ability to pass a weld test.
