Director of Banking Sales - Cross-Border Payments Infrastructure
Location: Remote - United States
Compensation: $150K - $200K
We build technology that makes markets safer and more accessible by providing cross-border payments and financial infrastructure solutions to banks, from Tier 1 institutions to regional and community banks. Our risk management systems, oracles, and AI models secure billions in value while democratizing access to world-class financial tools. We are seeking a senior, high-impact Director of Banking Sales to drive commercial growth and lead our go-to-market strategy for the banking segment.
This is a senior, high-impact role for an entrepreneurial, execution-oriented builder who can lead the full sales lifecycle from outreach to closing complex deals with financial institutions. You will combine strategic sales leadership with technical and operational fluency, designing and implementing bespoke cross-border payment flows in collaboration with internal teams. You must be equally comfortable in a boardroom with C-suite executives and in the weeds with a payments operations team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the Banking Sales Pipeline: Build and manage a robust pipeline of relationships across Tier 1, regional, and community banks. Drive the full sales lifecycle from initial outreach to deal closing.
- Develop Strategic Relationships: Leverage your existing network to establish and expand high-value partnerships that enable our global cross-border payment flows.
- Design and Present Solutions: Create compelling commercial proposals and sophisticated payment flow structures, ensuring alignment with each bank’s technical, compliance, and operational frameworks.
- Lead Sales Enablement: Develop and refine all sales collateral, pitch decks, and product positioning to effectively communicate our unique value proposition to financial institutions.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with product, compliance, legal, and engineering teams to ensure proposed solutions are regulatory-compliant and operationally sound.
- Drive Outbound Business Development: Proactively identify and pursue new banking relationships, owning and managing your outbound pipeline.
Requirements
- Experience: 8+ years in enterprise sales or partnership roles with a direct focus on financial institutions (preferably in payments, fintech infrastructure, or B2B SaaS).
- Banking Network: Strong existing relationships across U.S. banks (Tier 1, regional, and community), with a proven ability to originate and close high-value partnerships.
- Technical Fluency: Solid understanding of how banks operate, including core banking systems, payment rails (ACH, Fedwire, SWIFT, RTP), compliance, and treasury operations.
- Sales Leadership: Proven success designing sales strategies, structuring complex deals, and working cross-functionally to deliver client-ready solutions.
- Mindset: An entrepreneurial, self-starter who thrives in ambiguity, builds from scratch, and is highly execution-oriented.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging credibly with C-suite executives and technical stakeholders alike.
Preferred Qualifications (Bonus):
- Direct experience in cross-border payments, correspondent banking, or stablecoin-based payment infrastructure.
