Job Title: Data Architect/Lead (Azure Data Systems)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect/Lead with expertise in Azure Data Systems to join our team. As a Data Architect/Lead, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, high-performance data solutions using Azure data services. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and play a key role in shaping our data architecture strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement scalable and robust data architectures using Azure data services such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Data Factory.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into data architecture designs and technical specifications.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate Azure data services and technologies based on business needs, performance requirements, and scalability considerations.
• Develop data models, schemas, and data integration strategies to support business analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision-making.
• Design and implement data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and loading data from various sources into Azure data platforms.
• Optimize data storage, processing, and retrieval mechanisms to ensure optimal performance and cost efficiency.
• Define and enforce data governance policies, standards, and best practices to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers and other team members, and promote knowledge sharing and collaboration.
• Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in data management and analytics, and assess their potential impact on our data architecture strategy.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related roles.
• Strong expertise in designing and implementing data solutions using Azure data services.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with database technologies such as Azure SQL Database, SQL Server, or similar.
• Hands-on experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration techniques.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and data governance principles.
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Databricks is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Azure certifications such as Azure Data Engineer or Azure Solutions Architect are highly desirable.
