Overview
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented HRIS Data Analyst to support a large-scale HRIS implementation by preparing, validating, and cleansing employee data within the current platform. This role is ideal for an HR Generalist who enjoys working with Excel, identifying data inconsistencies, and ensuring information is accurate prior to migration into a new enterprise HR system. The initial focus of this engagement is data cleanup and preparation. As the implementation progresses, there may be opportunities to support data validation, testing, system implementation activities, and post-go-live support. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of employee and HR data, exceptional attention to detail, strong Excel skills, and the ability to follow established processes and business rules. Previous HR experience is required, and experience supporting oil and gas, energy, or industrial organizations is a plus. This position is a 3+ month remote role working mostly MST and CST hours. All qualified candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship or visa transfers. Please note that we do not work C2C.
Responsibilities
· Extract employee and organizational data from the Insperity HR platform.
· Pull, analyze, and reconcile Excel reports from multiple data sources.
· Review historical employee data to identify inconsistencies, duplicate records, missing information, and inaccuracies.
· Perform data cleanup activities following established business rules and project guidelines.
· Research, validate, organize, and maintain employee data.
· Prepare clean, accurate datasets for migration into a new HRIS platform.
· Create and maintain Excel files used for data transformation, validation, and import activities.
· Support data validation and quality assurance throughout the HRIS implementation.
· Document completed work and escalate discrepancies or data quality issues as needed.
· Collaborate with project team members while consistently delivering accurate, high-quality work.
· Assist with data validation, testing, and post-go-live support as project needs evolve.
Requirements
· Experience as an HR Generalist with experience working with employee data across Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, Talent Acquisition, etc. is required.
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, sorting, filtering, pivot tables, and data validation.
· Experience working with large datasets and performing data cleanup, reconciliation, or data quality activities.
· Exceptional attention to detail with a strong commitment to data accuracy.
· Strong analytical, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to follow detailed instructions, established processes, and business rules.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while collaborating effectively with a project team.
· Experience working within an HRIS, payroll, or enterprise business system; Insperity experience is a plus.
· Experience supporting data migration or enterprise system implementation projects is preferred.
· Familiarity with CSV imports, data mapping, and data validation.
· Advanced experience using Microsoft Excel for reporting and data analysis.
· HR experience is preferred but not required.
· Experience supporting organizations within the oil and gas, energy, or industrial sectors is a plus.
· Highly detail-oriented, process-driven, and motivated by improving data quality and ensuring accurate information prior to system implementation.
Education/Certifications
· Bachelor’s degree required
Compensation
Sand Cherry Associates is required by Colorado law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range considers a wide range of factors considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. This is a short- term consulting engagement with an hourly rate of $60-$80. Years of experience, level of education, geographic location, unique skills/qualifications for the specific role and potential certifications can be key factors in the final compensation for this role.
