About Our Contract Student Worker Program

Zoox's contract student worker program puts you at the center of one of the most ambitious challenges in transportation. You'll contribute to real projects, work alongside engineers and researchers pushing the boundaries of autonomous technology, and gain experience that goes well beyond the classroom. We're looking for students who are local to Foster City CA and can start as soon as possible.

Supporting freeways initiative, particularly in exploring ways to use data external to Zoox to help drive progress. This will include developing software to interface between Zoox's simulation system and external data sources as well as learning about and developing potential use cases across various Zoox teams.

Learn how Zoox simulations work.

Develop software to build simulations from external data

 Review resulting simulations, finding issues and driving improvements

Meeting with teams across Zoox to learn their use cases and support their adoption of these tools

Software development (C++, python)

Ability to use  Claude Code  to drive progress including but not limited to generating software

Interest in working with various teams to learn use cases and drive adoption

Currently enrolled in a B.S. or M.S. program in a relevant discipline.

Available to commit to a minimum six-month assignment.

Able to commit a minimum of 20 hours per week.

Able to work on-site at one of our Foster City Ca location ASAP.

Must adhere with Zoox confidentiality requirements, including refraining from using or sharing proprietary company information outside of Zoox, such as in academic research, theses, publications, or presentations.
