CNC Machinist / Programmer

Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
Pay: Up to $33/hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM; Saturday, 6:00 AM–12:00 PM
Hours: Approximately 56 hours/week
Shift: 1st Shift

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist/Programmer to program, set up, and operate CNC mills and lathes in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. This position requires strong blueprint-reading skills, precision machining experience, and the ability to consistently meet tight dimensional requirements.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

  • Review and interpret machining drawings and technical specifications.
  • Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes and mills.
  • Develop and modify programs using G-code.
  • Work with Fagor, Fanuc, Haas, and Heidenhain controls; experience with every control is not required.
  • Machine parts to tight tolerances, including requirements as close as 0.0005".
  • Inspect finished work using calipers, micrometers, and dial bore gauges.
  • Maintain consistent part quality and dimensional accuracy.
  • Follow established safety practices while working around heavy industrial equipment.
  • Maintain reliable attendance and a professional work ethic.
  • Work scheduled hours, including occasional Saturday shifts.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. when required.
  • Work Environment

    This is a hands-on machining position in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. The successful candidate should be comfortable working extended shifts and handling materials up to 50 lbs. when required.
