CNC Machinist / Programmer

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM; Saturdays, 6:00 AM–12:00 PM
Pay: Up to $33.00/hour, depending on experience
Hours: Approximately 56 hours/week
Job Type: Contract to Hire

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer to produce precision-machined components in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. This role involves programming, setting up, and operating CNC mills and lathes while maintaining tight dimensional requirements.

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes and mills using technical drawings and machining specifications.
  • Read and interpret shop drawings, dimensions, and machining requirements.
  • Develop and modify CNC programs using G-code.
  • Work with Fagor, Fanuc, Haas, and Heidenhain controls; experience with every control is not required.
  • Maintain machining tolerances as tight as 0.0005".
  • Inspect finished work using precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, and dial bore gauges.
  • Produce consistent, accurate, high-quality parts.
  • Follow all applicable safety procedures in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Maintain reliable attendance and a professional approach to work.
  • Lift materials weighing up to 50 lbs. when required.
  • Work scheduled hours, including Saturdays as needed.
  • Work Environment

    This is a hands-on machining position in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. The successful candidate should be comfortable working extended shifts and handling materials up to 50 lbs. when required.

  • Previous CNC programming and machining experience.
  • Experience setting up and operating CNC mills and/or lathes.
