About This Opportunity:

Total Life is currently seeking an Associate Clinical Social Work (ASW) in the state of California. In this role, you’ll provide virtual individual and/or group therapy for clients experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, loneliness, life transitions, and pain/medication management. Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide engaging and effective virtual therapy for groups and/or individuals
• Apply evidence-based approaches, including CBT, DBT, and other solution-focused techniques, to help clients thrive.
• Maintain confidentiality of electronic health records (EHR) that are in accordance with HIPAA guidelines and other federal and state regulations.
• Remain up to date with clinical knowledge and treatment modalities.
• Demonstrates understanding of sound ethical practice.
• Collaborate with a compassionate, expert team dedicated to healthier aging.
• Complete and maintain all required continuing education requirements for specific licensure and specializations.
• Be aware of community referral sources and refer when necessary.
• Follow all safety protocols as set out by National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Code of Ethics.

Our Requirements:

• Master’s degree from an accredited university or college in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or in a related human services field
• Must be license eligible in the state of California (Board of Social Work) or have an active Associate License within the state of California
• Maintain and be in good standing with the California Board of Health and all appropriate professional board entities
• Experience with evidence-based methods
• Proof of professional liability insurance ($1,000,000 claim limit / $3,000,000 aggregate) or willingness to obtain prior to hire
• Active NPI number
• Comfortable with technology and delivering teletherapy
• Minimum availability of 10 hours per week
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Bilingual fluency (English/Spanish) is a plus
• Existing CAQH setup is a plus
