Accounts Payable Specialist

Where: Remote. Filipino citizens living in the Philippines

Work Hours: Depends on the client, but most want at least 2 hours of overlap with U.S. time zones

Responsibilities:

- Process and review vendor invoices for accuracy and appropriate approvals.

- Ensure timely payment of invoices and resolve any discrepancies.

- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and maintain accurate financial records.

- Assist in month-end closing and financial reporting processes.

- Communicate effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders to address inquiries and issues.

- Support the implementation and maintenance of accounts payable systems and processes.

- Perform data entry and maintain organized filing systems.

- Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation as required.

- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline accounts payable processes.

-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.

- Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).

- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
