Accounting Manager for a Healthcare Company (With Sage and Netsuite Experience)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accounting Manager to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Big 4 accounting, extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP as it applies to healthcare, and technical expertise in financial systems implementation, particularly with Sage and NetSuite. As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounting operations, ensuring compliance with healthcare-specific regulations, and providing strategic financial insights to support our organization's goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounting Oversight: Manage and oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, AR, AP, and account reconciliations.
• Healthcare Accounting Expertise: Apply knowledge of healthcare accounting principles and standards, including revenue recognition, to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to healthcare-specific financial regulations such as HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid billing, and other relevant guidelines.
• Financial Systems Implementation: Utilize technical expertise to support the implementation, integration, and optimization of financial systems, with a focus on Sage and NetSuite.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and provide insights on financial performance, trends, and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
• Audit and Reporting: Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate submission of financial reports and documentation.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Qualifications:

• Experience: A minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting, with at least 5 years of experience at a Big 4 accounting firm.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Master’s degree or additional coursework in healthcare finance is a plus.
• Certifications: CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent accounting credential required.
• Healthcare Accounting Knowledge: Demonstrated experience and understanding of healthcare accounting principles, revenue recognition, and financial regulations specific to the healthcare industry.
• Technical Expertise: Experience with financial systems implementation and integration, particularly Sage and NetSuite; proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
• Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
