About the Role
We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to support our client's Singapore-based regional finance team with daily accounting operations, billing, expense processing, accounts receivable tracking, reporting, and month-end support.
This role offers the opportunity to work closely with an international finance team supporting multiple entities while gaining exposure to regional finance operations and career development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and update client billing records, invoice trackers, Accounts Receivable (AR) ageing reports, and related schedules.
- Assist with invoice preparation and basic billing analysis, including client, country, and service line reporting.
- Review and process expense claims, ensuring complete supporting documents and approvals.
- Support contractor payroll and related accounting entries where required.
- Prepare and post accounting journals under the guidance of the finance team.
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including reconciliations, schedules, and management reporting.
- Maintain finance trackers, weekly management reports, dashboards, expense trackers, and client analysis reports.
- Support audit preparation by compiling schedules and supporting documentation.
- Maintain accurate finance records and supporting documents.
- Assist with ad hoc finance analysis and reporting requests.
- Collaborate with the Singapore finance team and regional stakeholders across multiple entities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- At least 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Experience in billing, Accounts Receivable, expense claims, journal entries, and month-end closing support.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, PivotTables, and data reconciliation.
- Experience using accounting systems; Sage Intacct experience is an advantage but not required.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Experience supporting overseas clients or regional finance teams is preferred.
